Additional AEDs Cost Time and Lives

Here's a story from Steven. Make some comments - revisions, jokes, etc.

Additional AEDs Cost Time and Lives

Over winter break the money the school was going to use for better quality food in GBW was instead used for 728 new AEDs. The AEDs are not only located at sporting events, exercise facilities, and other crowded places but are also located at the pool, the inside of the crevice of the ceilings, next to the deep fryer in the kitchen, and that lonely corner of the janitor’s closet.

There were many positive responses to this abundance of AEDs. Here are some positive responses by the students.

Charlie, senior said, “I am so glad that these came at my second semester of my senior year. I don’t have to deal with passing five AEDs when I am going to the john and finding two of them right next to the john.”

“I am so glad that the new AEDs come with a large variety of colors. I have always wanted to have the option of taking my time and choosing the color that I like. It’s not like I have to save someone anytime soon where every second counts,” laughed little Timmy, Senior no really.

Jennifer, sophomore exclaimed, “I am like so happy like really, that these like AEDs come with ummm a mirror like yeah. So I can totally look hot unconscious as that one nerd saves me.” Unfortunately for Jennifer, an old AED without a mirror compartment was used to save her.

Borantossmolivick (John), junior raved, “I love how the voices are of famous super heroes like Spiderman, Green Lantern, Powerman, the Dazzler, Rom the Space Knight, and Squirrel Girl. They also come with kung fu grip of a canary.”

“It is pretty good so far, I have been able to take advantage of the glow in the dark feature. It caused a bit of confusion with the lights off and the AED glowing in the middle of the room but I know that if there is ever a time when the lights are off I can still save lives,” explained Fred, the blind kid.

Yogi, junior said, “This overabundance of AEDs covered our lack of medical training and made us look cool. It proved to be a more useful expenditure than better food or even getting food. Who has to eat?” Yogi was later found on the ground due to anemia later that day.

  2. Talk about some of the negatives. "Some students are not as supportive of the new AEDs. "the addition of the new AEDs makes my job of saving someone from cardiac arrest even harder," complained Carrie Lowlan, sophmore "deciding which color to use is going to take forever! What if the yellow AED right next to victim doesn't match their outfit? Then I'll have to walk another foot or two to find one that does!"
